Siam Bomb – Life Celebration
A collaborative art project by jiandyin, 2013, with 18 Thai and Myanmar labourers at construction site.
As part of the Bangkok International Design Festival 2012, Blending of Art project by Art4D

Work include performance, Graffiti, posters, makeshift mirror-scopes on wall
Location: Siam Square One shopping mall’s construction site panels, Siam Square, Bangkok, Thailand
Performance date: 5 Jan 2013

Work process consisted of 2 parts

Part I, Life Celebration
– A site specific collaborative mural paint between artists and 18 construction foreign labourers at the site, there were 6 Thai labourers / 6 Myanmar labourers / 6 Cambodian labourers

– Participated labourers walked out from the construction site where they worked and freely spray painted on the wall outside their working site.

Part II, Too Close to See

– An installation of inkjet printed enlarge photos of participated labourers eyes randomly glued on the painted murals

– 2 Mirror scope, size 4″ ∅ and 5 small pieces 2″ ∅ set on the wall, enable viewer from outside to view the construction site with optical illusions effect.
